During 1953 Mr. Mike Botha and Rodney Mountain started an Irrigation and Mining Supply business registered as JB Stamp & Co. (Pty) Ltd. , situated in Church Street Rustenburg. The Company grew through the years, as a healthy concern thanks to the blooming citrus farming and Mining Houses such as Union Corporation and J.C.I. spending millions of rands in the development of platinum projects. In 1974 the premises in Church Street was sold to Standard Bank of South Africa and we built new offices, stores and workshops at 1 Bosch Street.

On the 21st of March 1985, the Board of Directors, of which Mr. J.J.K. Botha was a member, decided to register a company with the name of: JB STAMP & Co Bophutatswana (Pty) Ltd., specifically for the purpose of handling all Mining Supplies. The 30th of June 1988, sees the closing down of JB Stamp & Co Rustenburg due to the previous 4-5 years of draught which, unfortunately lead to many liquidation in the agricultural industry and thousands of rand's bad debts.

The then managing director of JB Stamp & Co Bophutatswana, Mr. J.J.K. Botha, took over all the assets and liabilities of said Company as from the 1st of July 1988, and on the 7th of September 1988, JB Mining & Industrial suppliers (Pty) Ltd., registration number 68/14580/07 was registered.

The company started off in 1988 with 3 dedicated staff members and one Mazda bakkie, a delivery truck (that we had to borrow every time we had a large delivery, and with the grace of God, we regularly had to borrow). We were also in the fortunate position to be appointed distributors for HARRIS CALORIFIC SA, IBEDA, LINCOLN WELDING, companies whom we still represent with proud today. Our distributorship have increased with the time and including the above, new distributorships include Companies like:- MODWELD-and BEE-GEE Welding We are also manufacturing I.e.Steel Support Straps (Osro), Support mats, Tank Stands etc. for the Platinum - and gold mining industry and community.

Thanks to the LORD in whom we trust, our permanent staff has also increased to 12 and 15 - 20 casual labourers on a regular basis when we manufacture steel support straps (Osro) and mats for Anglo Gold. Our vehicle fleet has also increased and stands on 5 LDV's one eight ton truck, one three ton truck and 5 trailers. Our turnover has also increased substantially to a projected R8,0 million for 2004/2005.

Mr. Morgan M Mgcotyelwa became a 26% shareholder in the Company on October 04,2004 which means that JB Mining Supllies is now a BEE (black economic empowerment co.) Company with, we believe, a blooming and bright future ahead.

Rustenburg Pompdienste (Edms) Bpk. T/A Watermech.
A company selling waterpumps and ALL irrigation equipment, repair and installations of pumps, tanks and stands, started on the 1st of March 1989, registered on the 25th of March 1991 and situated at 103B President Mbeki Drive, Rustenburg and doing an estimated turnover of R3,0 million for 2004/2005, with 6 permanent staff members and two vehicles.

Poly Quality Manufacturers (Pty) Ltd. T/A Poly Quality Pipes
A company manufacturing NON SABS Polyethylene piping for use in the mining-, Agricultural- and Irrigation Industries. The manufacturing started on the 16th of February 2000, has 7 staff members, one LDV, one trailer and one truck and is situated at Bodirelo Industrial Sites, Mogwase and has an estimated turnover of R 2,5 million rand for 2004/2005.

With the recent obtaining of 51% shares in the company by Mr. Morgan M Mgcotyelwa, Poly Quality became a BOE (black owned Co.) Company, which will open new doors for us and we look forward to a bright future.
